Since 2016, my father has started giving me some objects that he thinks would be interesting for me to make art with. He’s a janitor, and he used to keep a lot of objects. With them, he elaborated a kind of circulation of objects: he sells some of them, he give others as a gift, and for one year, he kept some objects for me. In a way, he included me on this circulation of objects.

I collected these objects and I put them on used cardboard boxes which enabled me to bring them all at the same level. At the same time, the viewer has to imagine these objects. On the other hand, this gesture gives to these pieces the status of latent objects like in analog photography. They have an unused potential to be an art piece, or maybe it can become one through the viewer’s imagination. Their status is in mid-water. That’s why I use to put them in halls of different spaces where they are exhibited, like the Kunsthaus Langenthal or the Kunst(Zeug)Haus Rapperswil-Jona.
