Portrait gratuit, 2014

Portrait Gratuit is an experiment that took place in Geneva’s downtown. After setting up a precarious studio (camera on a tripod, neutral background), I placed a cardboard on the floor with the following inscription: “Free portraits”. I stayed in front of this installation without reaching out to people.

After more than four hours waiting, no one ever stopped. However, people’s reactions were diverse, ranging from mocking or smiling to indifference.
